His Lordship is the founding partner of the firm. He served on the bench of the Lagos High Court up until his retirement.

He is currently the Chairman, Lagos Citizens Mediation Centre as well as been in full time corporate practice.

Our Senior Partner was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 1983, having obtained his LLB. from the University of Buckingham, England in 1982.

Our Senior Partner was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 1983, having obtained his LLB. from the University of Buckingham, England in 1982.

He was elevated to the High Court of Lagos State Bench in 2001, was assigned to the Edo State Election Petition Tribunal in 2011 and retired in 2016.

He is our Senior Partner and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) Fleet Sheet, London, trained mediator, as well as the current chairman of the Lagos State Citizens Mediation Council.

He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).

Professional History

He worked with the Ministry of Justice as a youth corps member, lectured with the Lagos State Polytechnic, worked with Chief Moroundiya & Co. (Legal Practitioners), Ikeja, Olumuyiwa Sotuminu & Co. and also with his father under the name Gbajabiamila & Company, before setting up his own firm, Yinka Gbaja- Biamila & Company in 1988 which later morphed to Gbaja & Partners, which firm engages in corporate practice, arbitration, mediation, real estate trademarks and patents, mergers and acquisitions, other aspects of commercial law.
