Adeogun Adesanya Benjamin was born on the 25th day of July 1965. He attended Lagos African Church Primary School and Ogba Grammar School Lagos where he obtained both the first school leaving certificate and West African school certificate between 1971 and 1983 respectively.

He was enlisted into the Nigeria Army in 1986. In 1990, Adesanya was admitted to read law at the Lagos State University Ojo, Lagos from where he graduated in 1997, he thereafter proceeded to the Nigeria Law School in year 2000 and was subsequently called to the Nigeria bar in year 2001.
